What you pay
What you pay: one license, then optional support & updates.
The license is $499 once and includes a year of support & updates. After that year, support & updates renew automatically at $199/yr. Cancel auto-renewal anytime: Mimeo keeps working, and you keep every version released while covered. The license comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Mimeo's price covers the software only. Your sending is billed by your own Postmark or Resend account at that provider's rates, and the server is yours to pay for. To estimate both for your list, use the pricing calculator on the homepage.
What the license includes
One license gets you the software, a repo for your agent, and a year of support & updates.
- The complete Mimeo Rails application, which you deploy to your server.
- The Mimeo Manager repo, ready for your agent: the CLI, skills and MCP configuration.
- Unlimited team members.
- A year of support & updates.
Each license covers one installation: one Mimeo on one domain, with one list. Register that domain on the License page of your account at account.mimeohq.com, then download Mimeo and Mimeo Manager.
How buying works
Buying takes 3 steps on one page, and your account comes first.
1 Create your account
Your account is where your license, downloads and billing live.
2 Add payment details
The buy page's purchase summary lists the license, a year of support & updates and the renewal date.
3 Download
Register the domain your Mimeo will run on, then download Mimeo and Mimeo Manager from your account's License page.
What you need to run it
You need a server you control and your own sending account; Mimeo needs no separate database or queue service.
- A server you control that can run a Rails app, with HTTPS and a stable domain.
- Persistent storage for one SQLite database. No PostgreSQL, MySQL or Redis.
- Your own Postmark or Resend account for sending.
The exact versions are Rails 8.0, Ruby 3.3.6 and Node 22.12.0, on one application server: a Puma process that also runs background jobs, plus a private Node rendering process. Deploy Mimeo walks through it on Hatchbox and DigitalOcean, the recommended path; other Rails hosts work too.
Sending: which providers work
Mimeo never sends your email; your provider does.
Mimeo connects to your own Postmark or Resend account today. Amazon SES is coming soon. A built-in test provider records sends and delivers nothing, so you can check flows and emails without mailing anyone. Set up sending has the steps.
How you and your agent run it
You run Mimeo in your browser, and your agent runs the same Mimeo through its API, MCP server or CLI.
- Web UI, in your browser.
- HTTP API on your own Mimeo.
- MCP server on your Mimeo at
/mcp, which takes an operator token. - CLI,
bin/mimeoin the manager repo, which pulls your Mimeo's definitions into files and pushes your edits back.

Setup & Launch
Setup & Launch is a flat-fee project in which we set Mimeo up for you.
It costs $999, or $1,399 bundled with the license. We deploy Mimeo on your server, connect your sender, authenticate your domain and import your list. It isn't sold on the buy page; contact us to arrange it.
When Mimeo isn't the right fit
Mimeo suits a business that wants to own its email software and send to an opt-in list.
What counts as one installation?
One license covers one installation: one Mimeo on one domain, with one list.
That installation can send from several domains and split brands with segments. Fully separate brands, businesses, lists or clients, each on its own domain with its own Mimeo Manager repo, each need their own license at full price. Staging copies are free.
